California AB 1825

AB 1825 requires all employers who employ 50 or more persons to provide two hours of training in the prevention of sexual harassment, every two years, to California supervisors.

Who must comply?

	All employers that regularly employ or engage 50 or more persons (independent contractors are included in the 50+ number)

Who must be trained and when?

	California supervisors must receive training every two years
	Employees hired or promoted to supervisory positions must be trained within six months of hire or promotion and every two years thereafter

What type of training is required?

	Two hours of either classroom or other effective interactive training designed to assist California employers in changing or modifying workplace behaviors that create or contribute to "sexual harassment" and to develop, foster and encourage a set of values in supervisory employees that will assist them in preventing and effectively responding to incidents of sexual harassment.
